The joint Master and Post-Master programme Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage was officially founded in 2005 as result of merging the former professional master at the ICN, now RCE, and the post-graduate programme at the SRAL. Since then, the number of alumni has steadily grown and an academic conservation community has been established. Alumni have a broad variety of backgrounds and nationalities and have found their positions worldwide. The Alumni Network Conservation and Restoration aims to facilitate contact in order to stay connected and to consolidate the conservation and restoration network between alumni and the programme, the students, and current and former lecturers.
Join the network and enjoy the benefits of a membership of the UvA Alumni Association (AUV) and events specifically organised by and for members of the Alumni Network Conservation and Restoration. You receive an AUV card, which offers exclusive services and discounts at university facilities and cultural partners in Amsterdam, and you can get a free library card from the University Library.
Are you continuing your studies or work abroad? As AUV member you are welcome to join the events of the International Chapters in Belgium, China, Russia, United Kingdom and the United States. In addition, as international AUV member, you are welcome to subscribe to the International Alumni Network Netherlands (IANN), the alumni circle of the AUV for all international and international-minded UvA alumni living in the Netherlands. For the same membership fee, all AUV members can subscribe to a maximum of two circles, meaning that if you have studied Art History or Chemistry at the UvA, you are welcome to join these circles as well.
The alumni network offers members various activities focusing on developments in the field of conservation and restoration as well as networking opportunities with alumni, and current students. Suggestions for activities are welcome.
