Mimi Mitchell explores the revival of the Baroque violin. Through archival research and interviews with the earliest ten pioneers, she shows how they reintroduced the baroque violin to the concert stage, how they codified and disseminated their ideas on style and technique, and turned their new approach into a new profession.
