Michiel Hageman studies several aspects of orthpaedic decision-making from the perspective of surgeons and patients. He looks at factors associated with variation in recommendation for operative and non-operative treatment, and investigates how health care providers decide which option to recommend to their patients when evidence in inconclusive.
