Medicine

PhD defence ceremony

Perixisomal disorders are multi-systemic disorders caused by the dysfunction of peroxisomes, subcellular organelles involved in various catabolic and anabolic processes. Katharina Herzog uses metabolomics, the study of metabolites and metabolism, to gain more insight into the pathology and biochemistry of these disorders.
