In her research, Vanessa Boka examines a number of factors that pay a role in childhood fear of dental treatment, including psychological aspects, parental dental fear and parental absence or presence during treatment. Her data is based on a study of school-age children in Thessaloniki, Greece. she identifies dental fear cut-off points and examines the usefulness of a specific technique aimed at improving child dental behaviour.
